Recently I experienced hardware issues with my computer which kept me from being able to make an update. I’m happy to say the problem has been fixed. The past few weeks I’ve been working on some fun Halloween paintings. I wanted to show the students that, sometimes you just need to have fun with it, and that’s what I was doing here. Every project I work on is fun in its own way, but these were more of a break from normal painting. I had the chance to review paintings from several famous artists and create something of my own that would just be cool to look at. During class i would use the paintings to demonstrate painting techniques to the students. We looked at how to create light washes, dark shadows, layering, composition and color selection. These next paintings were completed around Oct 14. Now that they are framed, I will be hanging them up at the studio with my students skull for a fun holiday display. I’ll add a photo of the display once its up.
Your art painting turned out very nice. Can’t wait to see how your display and students mask’s turn out.
The one with the cat on the man’s shoulders is scary, wonder what Tia Nini would think of it.
