Frightfest 2010…

Frightfest 2010…

Last night Frightfest was held at Medusa’s Lounge and there was a really nice turnout. Quite a few people showed up in their costumes to dance, party and help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The event was brought together by my sister Jennifer Leal. Cash prizes of $100, $50, $25 were awarded to the top 3 most original costumes and several other prizes were raffled throughout the night.

LealCreations was responsible for designing the promo posters and fliers. I’m proud to say that I was also able to donate one of my earlier Halloween paintings, which was given away during the raffle. I was also able to do my first 2 face-paintings (I know! I’m a 26 yr old artist and it took me this long to do it!) I think they came out pretty good. My first “model” was my sister. She wanted to represent the poster design a little so I painted a calavera face on her. After looking at a few pictures we settled on some ideas and I think it came out pretty good. My second “model” was my wife and she wanted a something a little more abstract. Part of the look came from photos with the face paints and the rest was just made up as I went. Who knows maybe I’ll find a way to do some face-paintings next Halloween.

You can still donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! its not too late!
