This month I was asked if my students could help improve the ER lobby at Harlingen Medical! WOW what a great opportunity for my kids. I’m looking into creating a large mural for one of the walls in a corner that is going to be transformed into a children’s sitting area. A spot to make kids feel more comfortable when they are in the most pain. I’ve already begun the sketches, and I’m working on the details now. I can’t wait to get things started, so look forward to updates on this great community service project.
While I was working on sketches for the mural, I did quite a bit of research online. I love images of jellyfish, especially the ones that are lit up in orange light. Now that I have my computer back; I felt inspired to create a little digital composition that will also help me in creating a full sized painting later on.
I really like the colors in this. Can’t wait to see the finalized painting.
